Course Overview
This course aims to build the capacity and capability of Sailing Clubs by training and developing individual Sailing Coaches that will be responsible for coaching the next era of sailors/athletes. Focussing on coaching fundamentals, that can be adapted to any specific class, the online component of the course is 6-hours, followed by the 2.5 day face-to-face course.

Safety Boat Operator certificate

First-aid certificate (Apply first-aid or above)

Working with Children Check

Instructor qualification or equivalent experience teaching, coaching, or training.

Must be 18 years-old

Water confident.

Comply with relevant State Maritime Licence requirements

This course is for anyone looking to develop their coaching skills and build on their current instructor skills and knowledge that has been used to teach learn to sail participants. It also for those wanting to formalise their coaching qualifications.
