Sailing Summits provide a great opportunity for clubs and classes to share information and ideas and to learn the latest from Australian Sailing on new initiatives, resources, and projects. Hear from content experts as well as those within Clubs, Class Associations and Discover Sailing Centres who have a great idea, resource of success story to share.
Sailing Summits provide an annual opportunity for the decision makers of the sailing community to get together with Australian Sailing senior management and Board Members.
Who should attend?
Sailing Summits are a great way to collaborate with the sailing community. The Sailing Summits are free to attend and open to:
- all committee members of Clubs, Class Associations and Discover Sailing Centres
- Club General Managers
- Sailing Managers
- Discover Sailing Centre Principal’s
- Head Instructors/Coaches
Key Themes for 2025
This year’s summits will focus on addressing the major challenges identified by the sailing community:
Participation – Strategies to grow involvement at all levels.
Funding – Exploring avenues for financial sustainability.
Volunteering – Strengthening and supporting volunteer engagement.
Additionally, Australian Sailing will present findings from the latest GEMBA Report, due for completion in May 2025. This research delves into public perceptions of barriers to sailing and provides actionable recommendations for clubs and classes to boost participation and membership.
