Host an Olympian
An exclusive competition for Australian Sailing (AS) affiliated clubs and associations, the ‘Host an Olympian’ competition will see lucky winners visited by an Olympian or Olympic Coach at their club or association for a sailing masterclass, meet and greet and Q&A session.
This competition will run from Monday July 8 to Saturday 31st August, with winners to be announced on approximately Friday 6th September.
Prizes
This competition offers clubs and associations the once in a lifetime opportunity of hosting a Paris 2024 Olympian or Olympic Coach at their venue for the day.
Winners of the two grand prizes will see themselves visited by either a Paris 2024 Olympian or an Olympic Coach for a sailing masterclass, meet and greet and Q&A session.
Three lucky clubs will also have the chance to win a signed merchandise package filled with goodies for inter-club or association distribution.

Determining winner |
Each winner will win one (1) prize pack. There will be five (5) winners; consisting two (2) grand prizes and three (3) other prizes. The entries will be judged from Monday 2nd September, and the winner/s will be determined, and notified on or before Friday 6th September 2024. |
Notifying winner | The winner/s will be contacted by phone followed by email confirmation. |
Publishing results | Within 7 days the winner’s name will be published via the Australian Sailing Facebook page, website and Instagram. |
1. Entry is open to Australian residents only.
2. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
3. Prize must be redeemed within 6 months on a date to be agreed by all parties.
4. If any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
5. Your Entry: You agree to grant Australian Sailing a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish, broadcast, communicate and perform your entry, in whole or in part for any purpose including the Competition and you will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
6. Original work: Each entry must be an original work by you. You warrant that your entry is not, and its use will not infringe the rights (including intellectual property rights) of any third party.
7. Game of chance: The Competition is a game chance in determining the prize winner/s. Each submitted entry will be individually checked by Australian Sailing on the basis of confirmation of club/class membership with Australian Sailing and programs/activities run by club/class.
8. Binding decision: A decision in relation to the conduct of the Competition, including the selection of winning entries, is binding and conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. No liability: You enter the Competition at your own risk. With the exception of liability which cannot be excluded by law, Australian Sailing is not liable for, and you release Australian Sailing from, liabilities relating to any direct or indirect loss or damage which is suffered, or for personal injury or sickness suffered or sustained, as a result of entering the Competition, failing to win, winning, accepting or using a prize.
