Youth Scholarship Success

In July Darwin Sailing Club in conjunction with Cullen Bay Marina ran their first Making Waves Youth Scholarship. The four successful recipients Jabari, Harlen, Kody, and Ella kicked off their sailing adventures during the recent July school holidays.

NT Championships

It was an unusual Dry Season weekend with cloudy skies and light breezes. The light winds made racing a challenge for everyone and kept the Race Officers on their toes. It was a good turnout of boats for the NT Championships with some very close racing in each division.

What an incredible weekend! We had a record-breaking 46 boats, with 30 youth fleet sailors and 20 junior sailors participating and 2 interstate coaches in our biggest Youth Sail NT event yet! This year, we were thrilled to welcome a interstate sailor as well.

Lisa Blair sets World Sailing Speed Record

Australian record-breaking solo sailor Lisa Blair has set two new World Sailing Speed Records (to be ratified by WSSRC) for the fastest time Sydney to Auckland and first woman, solo monohull, record slicing an incredible 4 days off the record to finish in 8 days, 3 hours and 19 minutes
