Close to two years of shooting for a MC38 one design class top result finally yielded Steve Proud’s Swish team the main prize, on dreary Pittwater in the shortened five-race Act 4 winter pointscore.

MC38s long-awaited return to 2020 season

Winter sailing on Sydney Harbour is often fraught, light winds and plenty of shifting potholes to catch the unsuspecting out. For the MC38s crews who returned to their season after months of COVID isolation, getting the fleet back together and completing the seven-race program was more than enough compensation for the tricky conditions.

First Australian title for Lazy Dog

Shaun Lane and Quentin Stewart’s MC38 Lazy Dog from Middle Harbour out-ran the pack at the class’ 2020 reduced national title on Sydney Harbour, posting a low-scoring 13 points that included five wins from eight starts.

America’s Cup is heading to the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club

The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC) is pleased to announce the famous ‘Auld Mug’, the America’s Cup, is headed across the Tasman Sea to the Club in March for a special weekend of events, marking the first time it has been seen in Australia since the 30th anniversary of Australia winning the Cup back in September 1983.

Sydney Harbour Regatta trophy spoils divvied up

More than 20 clubs from two Australian states and Hong Kong made up 19 divisions for the 15th Sydney Harbour Regatta conducted by Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) with the cooperation of key Sydney clubs and a host of volunteers.
