The Victorian Premier has announced changes to Melbourne’s restrictions as well as changes to regional restrictions for at least the next six weeks until Sunday 13 September.
The 2020 NSW Youth Championships and 2021 Australian Youth Championships have regrettably been cancelled after joint decisions by Australian Sailing and host clubs.
We are pleased to advise the proposed amendments to the COVID Safe Plans for the sport, recreation and fitness industry have now been approved by the Chief Health Officer and are available on the Return to Play website.
Earlier today the CYCA was advised an active Member of the Club and their partner had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result of this news, the CYCA has closed its Clubhouse until further notice.
From 1 July 2020, the return to training and competition for community sport by people of all ages was welcomed across New South Wales.
Unfortunately, recent media articles and photos show that some sporting clubs, associations and sport facility operators are not adhering to the very clear social distancing regulations that are part of Public Health Order No. 4
From Friday 3rd July 2020 the Stage 3 requirements under the Queensland Government’s “Roadmap to easing Queensland’s restrictions - A step-down approach to COVID-19†will take effect. Australian Sailing welcomes these relaxations and thanks the Queensland Government for providing the framework.
Sunday the 21st of June saw key restrictions eased and others continued. Australian Sailing continues to work with the Victorian Government to gain clarity on the interpretation of these restrictions and to put sailing at the fore front of their mind.
In line with the South Australian Government requirements Organisations are to ensure that all participants for indoor activities are to provide their name and phone number or email address on a Contact Tracing Form. The person conducting the activity retains a record of those contact details and produces them at the request of an authorised officer.
From midnight on 29 May 2020 the ACT will enter Phase 2A of recommencement for community sporting activity, allowing the re-activation of sporting activities and venues, including gyms, while also increasing the allowable number of people in a “small group†to 20 participants/players plus coach or instructor.
