Zac Littlewood shortlisted for the Hyundai Junior Sports Star at the RAC WA Sports Star Awards

Fremantle Sailing Club’s Zac Littlewood has been shortlisted for a major award – the Hyundai Junior Sports Star crown at the RAC WA Sports Star Awards at Optus Stadium on February 7.

Littlewood is one of six young West Australians in contention for the award, won in recent years by the likes of soccer sensation Samantha Kerr, Olympic gymnasts Allana Slater and Lauren Mitchell, world-class golfer Minjee Lee and Olympic swimming silver medallist Tamsin Cook.

Zac hasn’t rested on his laurels after being shortlisted for this award last year. The young sailing gun had a stellar year when he won the 2018 Laser Radial World Championships, one of Australia’s youngest ever open class world champions.

He then went on for third in the World Junior Championships at Corpus Christi in the United States. The exclamation point on his outstanding year came when he was named National Youth Sailor of the Year.
