VLA Transition program

Attention all Victorian clubs with OTB fleets:

Victorian Laser Association (VLA) is offering clubs an opportunity to participate in a new program designed to transition junior sailors from junior classes to the youth classes. Participating clubs will retain sailors and grow their racing fleets.

The Laser 4.7 is most popular transition boat in the world because of its small rig and low cost.

The VLA have purchased 5 x new 4.7 Lasers along with a dedicated ‘roll on, roll off’ trailer.

This package is available for clubs to hire along with an Australian Sailing qualified coach to run training sessions for their young sailors.
Sailors will be taught to safely handle a bigger heavier boat so that they transition smoothly from the junior classes.

After completing the course young sailors will have the boat handling skills & confidence to sail with the main club fleet.
