Sydney to Hobart WA Style

Published Sat 11 Jan 2020

The Sydney to Hobart is over for another decade. 75th iteration of the event saw 157 yachts compete with all but three making it to Hobart. WA contingent of yachts featured high in the final standings and even lead the leader boards at several stages. The major result however is of course ‘Enterprise’ with Capt. Anthony Kirke and his adventurous bunch of sailors. Finishing just 10 minutes behind fellow WA sailors of Chris Higham and Paul Eldrid aboard ‘Abbotts Vamp’, Enterprise finished 35th across the line in just over three days.

‘Enterprise’ brings home the Sir Arthur Warner Trophy, Replica and CYCA Trophy for first in IRC Division 4.

‘Anger Management’ skippered by Tim Stewart from Esperance finished in fifth, Division 4 IRC Handicap. Congratulations to all the skippers that committed their yachts to this iconic event. Additionally, to the crews and the numerous other WA sailors that helped crew yachts on their adventure south.
