Pre-Season Fun

Recently returned from the 2019 Flying Fifteen World Championships in Dublin, Ireland earlier this month, local sailors hit the water last weekend for the pre-season regatta at South of Perth Yacht Club.

Finishing with fourth overall, with two thirds and a first at the Worlds, Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club’s Dean McAullay joined skipper Philippa Packer aboard ‘El Toro’ to clinch victory by the narrowest of margins. Four firsts, two seconds and a third and fourth held rivals ‘Spot the Difference’, skippered by Greg Tonnison, in second place with three firsts and seconds and a third. Alan Sharpe rounded out the top three aboard ‘Second Breakfast’.
