Personal Accident and Club Insurances
A key benefit that a national sporting organisation can provide to its members is the provision of services that are negotiated at a national level to take advantage of scale and group buying power.
The suite of insurance products available through Network Steadfast covers policies accessible to member clubs, class associations, boat owners and individuals as well as Australian Sailing’s own coverage. This caters for all types of club policies such as Public Liability, Management Liability, facility coverage, boats and other equipment; as well as other non-sailing insurance needs for members such as car, home and business.
A significant benefit made available automatically to members is the group Personal Accident Insurance coverage. All current financial members of Australian Sailing affiliated clubs enjoy automatic coverage under this program, which includes cover for out of pocket medical expenses plus a variety of set benefits from injuries incurred whilst sailing at an affiliated club or whilst on the premises of an affiliated club.
This coverage has evolved over time, with recent inclusions of dental and bone coverage and increases to capital benefits of up to $5,000 per incident.
In partnership with Network Steadfast, Nautilus Marine will continue to provide the lowest possible premiums in the dinghy space via its AutoCover program where they have been a leader for many years.
Additional offerings that have been developed include Class Association coverage for Public Liability and Management Liability, Hull & Pleasure Craft cover, Overseas Regatta Insurance (including hull whilst in transit and worldwide public liability cover) and Overseas Travel Insurance including unlimited medical expense cover whilst participating at international regattas (a general exclusion under most travel insurance policies).
