Opening a Flying Squadron

Published Fri 01 Nov 2019

This Sunday, 3rd November, the Perth Flying Squadron Yacht Club will host their 122nd Opening Day at their clubhouse in Dalkeith. Parents, enjoy a real Aussie bacon and egg burger and piping hot coffee on the banks of the Swan river after your little ones launch into Junior sailing from 8am. Once they are off the water, and for the young at heart adults, they can burn more energy with loads of giant games and bouncy castle before refuelling with a BBQ sausage sizzle.

Official opening ceremony start at 1pm, with the traditional sail past from 2pm and racing starting shortly after that. Formed in 1897, the PFSYC overlooks the widest stretch of the river where sailors, power yachts and spectators alike can take full advantage of the excellent sailing waters of the Swan with a year-round program of events. Looking for a location for a last-minute Christmas function, head on down this weekend and check out the facilities. You won’t be disappointed.
