New OutThere Sailing online courses

Australian Sailing produced two new online courses for Discover Sailing Centres and qualified instructors wanting to deliver the OutThere Sailing programs. Upon course completion the related qualification will appear in mySailor profile. OutThere Sailing e-learnings are strongly recommended until 30 June 2021. Afterwards each of these courses will be a compulsory pre-requisite to run OutThere Sailing programs.

• OTS Instructor induction: The aim of the course is to outline the difference between OutThere Sailing and other learn to sail programs and to provide already qualified instructors with the tools and knowledge they will need to be an OutThere Sailing Instructor. The course will also teach the common teenager traits and link that to the method of delivery behind OutThere Sailing.

• OTS Windsurfing endorsement: This course provides an overview of how Windsurfing fits into the OutThere Sailing program, and will cover these key areas: safety, equipment, skill development and session planning.
