Member Protection Information Officers Course

Member Protection Information Officers play an important role in sport. We need people who understand about complaint handling procedures and who are able to help ensure that due process is followed and that parties to a dispute are informed about their rights and obligations.
The Equal Opportunity Commission will deliver the course in partnership with DLGSC. The content of the workshop includes:

• Clarify and reaffirm the roles and responsibilities of the MPIO
• Identify useful communication skills and apply them in the role of an MPIO
• Learn from experiences of current MPIO’s in the field
• Tips and tools on how to market and promote the MPIO role
• Clear guidance about the local support networks and resources available to assist MPIO’s
