Coming of Age

Published Thu 20 Jun 2019

Turning 18 is a memorable occasion for any person, but when an event designed for teenagers and young adults comes of age, you know it is going to be one hell of a party. Swan River Sailing and the City of Perth have teamed up with Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club again in 2020 for the Warren Jones International Youth Regatta.

Applications are now OPEN for males and females who will be under 25 years of age as at Friday, February 7, 2020. As long as you’re a member of a yacht club, from any nation on Earth you may be eligible to join this once in a life time event.

As this is an international event, eligible local entries will be selected through a series of qualifying events.

This event returns to Perth waters for the fourth time in 2020 and has grown from strength to strength.

The Elizabeth Quay has proven to be popular with local and international sailors alike for its compact course under the towering office blocks of the Perth CBD.

Warren Jones Regatta will be sailed from Monday, 27th through to Friday, 31st January as part of the 2020 City of Perth Festival of Sail.

Full eligibility requirements are featured in the Notice of Race.

This event has help promote and profile some amazing names over the years. Will yours be next?

All Expressions of Interest are to be completed online via the Swan River Sailing website. Expressions of Interest CLOSE Friday, September 13, 2019. Don’t let it be a black Friday for you. Express your interest NOW.
