In partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria, Australian Sailing is presenting three webinars aimed at helping clubs with Governance structures.
Governance is the framework for managing the obligations and relationships for the best interests of an organisation and its stakeholders
Good governance means having the systems and processes in place to ensure compliance with the law and legal obligations; and includes other functions such as how meetings are held, who is on your committee and what skills they have, succession planning and how new committee members are inducted, how frequently the committee meets, what is its communication strategy and much more.
The following three webinars being run on three Tuesdays over July and August (28 July, 4 August, 11 August) from 6pm will look to cover the key components of a successful committee structure, being “What makes a successful committee, Successful meeting management, Managing conflict and difficult people.
