Beef and Beer Conference

The 2019 Australian Sailing Club and Instructor Conferences are being held in just a few weeks on Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th respectively, at the Royal Perth Yacht Club.

All Commodores, officials, instructors, volunteers and management are encouraged to attend.

The club conference focuses on bringing clubs together, from across the state, to share ideas and collaborate with each other and Australian Sailing. Among the guests are industry experts to assist and teach clubs tips and tricks in developing skills, capacity and opportunities to improve their clubs and the sport.

The instructor conference is designed to develop your instructing skills and provide updates on various aspects of the Discover Sailing programs. It won’t be all stuffy offices and meeting tables; we are a water sport. Topics and activities include practical on-water skills development sessions designed by the Chief Instructors with the aim of ensuring all skills being delivered are to the highest quality with a consistent and safe approach.

With the migration in recent years into the power boating programs, a session this year has been dedicated to this section. Let’s be honest here and not forget the awesome sausage sizzle that warms you up over the wintery days. All the event details are available here.
