60th HMAS Perth Memorial Regatta

HMAS Perth Memorial Regatta is on again. This will be the 60th Anniversary of this event.

Nedlands Yacht Club proudly hosts this regatta each year to honour the Memory of the HMAS Perth(I) which was lost in the Battle of the Sunda Straits on March 1 1942. This year the HMAS Perth Memorial Regatta is being held on the 16th February 2020.

This unique regatta provides a chance for all who enjoy the freedom of sailing for pleasure on the Swan River today the opportunity to show respect and appreciation for the services and sacrifices made by those who served during the war.

Over the many years this regatta has been running HMAS Perth Regatta has seen large fleets of cruisers, catamarans and dinghies compete.
The regatta is an open invitational yardstick regatta for off the beach dinghies and catamarans, keelboats, trailable cruisers, Sports boats and multihulls.
Racing is divided into six divisions based on class performance.
