Overview
The re-accreditation process aims to ensure quality instruction is occurring and provides participants an opportunity to be updated with the latest resources and information. Participants will deliver a practical session and receive feedback and support.
Prerequisites
- Be water confident
- Comply with the State/Territory legislation including, but not only, child protection laws (if applicable in that state)
- Hold a current HLTAID003/011 - Provide First Aid Certificate
- Hold a current maritime licence, or state equivalent
- Hold an Australian Sailing Powerboat Handling Certificate

Hold current Dinghy Instructor Qualification (cannot be lapsed more than 12 months)
Prerequisite Learning
- Complete the Australian Sailing Instructor General Principles - online learning course
Who should do this course?
This course is for anyone looking to reaccredit their Dinghy Instructor qualification and continue instructing the Dinghy learn to sail program at an accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Outcome
This process aims to maintain skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- General Instructing skills - Communication, Planning, etc
- Fundamental sailing skills: Tacking, gybing, capsize recovery, etc
- Powerboat skills, whilst instructing
Pending your success, you will gain the Dinghy Instructor qualification for a further 5 years.
