Overview
The re-accreditation process aims to ensure quality instruction is occurring and provides participants an opportunity to be updated with the latest resources and information. Participants will deliver a practical session and receive feedback and support.
Prerequisites
- Comply with the State/Territory legislation including, but not only, child protection laws (if applicable in that state)
- Hold a current Applied First Aid Certificate (or above)
- Hold a Long Range Operators Certificate of Proficiency (Marine Radio Licence)
- Hold a current personal Safety & Sea Survival Certificate - RPL available for accredited Instructors.

Hold current Safety & Sea Survival Instructor Qualification (cannot be lapsed more than 24 months)

This opportunity is for anyone looking to reaccredit their Safety & Sea Survival Instructor qualification and continue instructing the Australian Sailing Safety & Sea Survival program at an accredited Safety & Sea Survival Centre.

This process aims to maintain skills and knowledge in the following areas:
- General Instructing skills - Communication, Planning, Course layout, etc
- Fundamental technical skills: Liferaft activities, Lifejackets, Flares, etc
- Updates on new equipment and/or resources
Pending your success, you will gain the Safety & Sea Survival Instructor qualification for a further 5 years.
