Providing professional development for Instructors and Discover Sailing Centre administrators, the 2023 Training in Focus ‘LIVE’ events were held in every state and territory between June and September this year. These events brought together accredited Australian Sailing Instructors, Assistant Instructors, and Discover Sailing Centre Principals from across the nation to share knowledge, best practices, and updates on all aspects of program delivery.

New Mornington to Geelong Passage Race 'Re-Introduced' for 2024 Festival of Sails

The 2024 Festival of Sails will introduce a Mornington to Geelong Passage race, as an addition to the traditional Melbourne to Geelong Passage Race, to celebrate the regatta opening on Friday, January 26, 2024. Festival of Sails Chairman, Paul Buchholz said the inclusion of the Mornington start was in response to calls from clubs across the Mornington Peninsula looking for a more direct run down to Geelong for the regatta.

National Finalists Announced for the Coveted SheSails Award

The SheSails Award was introduced in 2018 and recognises an individual, group, class or club that makes an outstanding contribution, promotion and/or administration of female participation in sailing. Three incredible finalists have been selected from amongst the state awards winners for the national SheSails Award, with the winner to be announced at the Australian Sailing Awards on Friday November 3.
