Finalists Announced for 2018 Australian Sailing Awards

Off the back of another hugely successful sailing season in both Australia and around the world, athletes, clubs, officials and contributors will be honoured at the 2018 Australian Sailing Awards and Hall of Fame Induction dinner at the Doltone House on Friday 19 October.

Big Australian contingent, ranging in age from 13 to 93, set for 2018 Hansa Class World & International Championships Hiroshima,

A large Australian contingent of 66 competitors and volunteers is finalising arrangements to compete in the Hansa Class World & International Championships, Hiroshima, Japan, from 12-18 October.  22 countries will be competing, involving some 180 sailors plus a number of volunteers, including carers. The Aussies are very hopeful of scoring a swag of medals.

VX One Australian Championship draws Salt Lake family crew

The sporty VX One class is set to add international sparkle to the Festival of Sails in 2019 when a team from the USA, where the class originated, joins a national fleet for the Australian Championship on Geelong’s Corio Bay, January 26-28.

Steady breeze brings on the action on day two of the NSW Youth Championships

The steady conditions opened the doors for some spectacular racing across all classes on day two of the NSW Youth Championships presented by Lake Macquarie City Council. With only a few minor course changes the race officials squeezed in four races across all courses to make up for the races lost from day one due to the strong winds.

James Hodgson, Harry Hall, Ryan Wilmot and Charlie Gundy have crushed the Final Day of the Australian Match Racing Championship, to defeat the previously unbeaten DownUnder Racing, 3-1 in the Finals Series to become Australia's newest National Champion after gear failure on Price's boat in Race 4.
