After a busy week in Fremantle, Maiden departed this week for Sydney, continuing their three-year 55,000 nautical mile journey to 25 destinations worldwide.
On the weekend of the 16th & 17th March, Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club hosted two back to back Swan River Sailing events; The 2019 Womens and Youth State Keelboat Championships.
14 yachts set off from Fremantle ports in the annual Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club’s Bunbury and Return Ocean Race. Sailors have flocked to this years’ event in memory of skipper Rob Thomas and crewman Paul Owens who lost their lives when their yacht Finistere capsized.
Last weekend the Royal Perth Yacht Club filled the river with sails and masts for their 2019 Mini Series. During the two days over 150 boats, across 17 fleets, hit the water to compete in the annual event.
