Rozinante II wins slow dance to Grassy in 50th King Island Race
Rozinante II has won a protracted King Island Race from Melbourne to Grassy at the southern end of the Island, while John Newbold’s Primitive Cool took line honours in the time of 1 day, 3hrs 13mins 11secs, well outside the record he set in 2014 of 9 hours 50mins 21secs.

Forty-five entries have so far locked in for the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria’s 50th King Island Race, which starts at 1500 hours on 11 March off Queenscliff, with competitors playing for something far more important than sheep stations – crayfish and King Island cheeses.

St Ayles Skiff rowers to take on The Rip at Wooden Boat Festival RGYC
Three intrepid crews will participate in the inaugural Row-the-Rip from Point Nepean to Portarlington over the next three days, as part of the biennial Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong, hosted by the Royal Geelong Yacht Club over the March long weekend.

Victorian Minnow State Championships 2022
On the last weekend in February Williamstown Sailing Club hosted the 2022 Minnow Victoria state championship regatta. After much hard work in the run-up to the event there was a real buzz around the club all weekend as the deck filled with blue sails and the club house swarmed with participants from all around the bay and lots of wonderful volunteers from WSC.
