The General Managers primary role is to develop a strong network and working relationships within the sailing community to implement AS strategies and initiatives which help get more people on the water. This years’ Instructor Conference was conducted by Australian Sailing’s Chris Jones, Ian Leeson and Laila Grafton along with local Senior Instructors Greg Brooks (Keelboat Instructor), Greg Rowlings (Dinghy Instructor), Scott Ragg (Powerboat Instructor), Jess Sabin (Dinghy Instructor) delivered the 2022 Tasmanian Instructor Conference.
The 2022 Tasmanian Sailing Awards were held Saturday 3rd September at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania. The evening was a celebration of the outstanding contributions and achievements of clubs, members, sports people, volunteers, and media representatives of the Tasmanian sailing community.
Sandy Bay Sailing Club (SBSC) will host the International Cadet Class and International 29er Class State Championships and hold the annual PJ Super Series Regatta over the weekend 27-28 November 2021
Australian Sailing is currently seeking expressions of interest to host the 2022 Tasmanian Schools Teams Racing State Championships. This regatta is a 2-day event.
On Saturday evening, the 2021 Australian Sailing State Awards evening was held at Bellerive Yacht Club. The Australian Sailing Awards, for Tasmania, recognise the outstanding contributions and achievements by clubs and individuals in the Tasmanian sailing community. As well as recognising our sports people, the awards acknowledge the huge contribution made by volunteers and media representatives.
