Australian Sailing releases the Annual Participation Report

In early 2022 Australian Sailing released our 10-year strategic plan, SAILING 2032. Twelve months later we shared our Strategic Plan Status Report with clubs and classes, which reported on the progress made on the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan Status Report was the first time Australian Sailing has publicly reported on how we are tracking against our stated strategic targets.

Inclusive Language Guide

As part of its commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Australian Sailing has recently developed an Inclusive Language Guide for clubs, associations, members, and participants in partnership with Pride in Sport. The guide provides information on some of the steps we can all take in order to show respect to individual identities.

Club in Focus – Royal Brighton Yacht Club

Established in 1875, alongside Brighton Pier on picturesque Port Phillip, is the Royal Brighton Yacht Club (RBYC). RBYC joins other clubs around the Bay in promoting the sport of sailing with active programs in racing, cruising, women’s, youth and junior sailing. Whether you are a complete beginner, experienced sailor, or if you merely wish to enjoy the club’s hospitality and facilities on a social basis, you will receive a warm welcome at RBYC.

Instructor and Coach of the year 2023

The Australian Sailing Awards have been the premier off-water celebration nation-wide for several decades. In 2014, the categories of, Instructor of the Year and Coach of the Year, were added with nominations being given by State Associations.

Only Two Weeks to Go until Sail Sydney 2023

Sailors are preparing to descend on Woollahra Sailing Club (WSC) and Georges River Sailing Club (GRSC) for this year's Sail Sydney, which is scheduled to take place from Saturday, December 9th to December 17th, 2023.
