FAQ - Changes to Rule 46

As announced on the Australian Sailing website, from 1 January 2022 all crew in any race will be required to be a member of an affiliated club and registered with Australian Sailing. Australian Sailing has received many enquiries, and as a result has prepared the following to address the frequently asked questions.

CLUB IN FOCUS: Gosford Sailing Club (GSC)

Gosford Sailing Club is located on the North Eastern foreshore of Brisbane Waters at 28 Masons Parade Gosford. Brisbane Waters are fed by the Hawkesbury River with its entrance opposite the Pittwater which is to the South. GSC is also home to World Champion sailor and Olympic Gold Medalist Tom Slingsby.

Entries open for Hamilton Island Race Week 2020

Within two hours of the Notice of Race for Hamilton Island Race Week 2020 being posted, the first entry had been lodged. And, for the second consecutive year, the yacht with that honour was David Bell’s Bavaria 39, Four Bells, out of Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club.

Para Sailing Champions decided in Melbourne

The Australian Para Sailing Championships were held as part of the Sail Melbourne International Regatta at Royal Brighton Yacht Club over the past week.  Sailed in conjunction with open fleet racing in the 2.4mR and Liberty classes, the race scores of eligible para sailors were extracted to decide the Australian Para Sailing Champions.
