Course Overview
The Club Judge course is aimed at educating Australian Sailing members in the basics to conduct fair and consistent protest procedure at a club level.
To become accredited as an Australian Sailing Club Judge you are required to:
- Be a member of an Australian Sailing affiliated club.
- Attend a Club Judge Seminar, or
- Supply to a Letter of Endorsement from your AS affiliated Club or class association.
If you are currently unaccredited and yet experienced and proficient as a Judge at Club level, you may wish to accredit via submitting evidence of prior seminar attendance or a Letter of Endorsement from your club or class association (within the last four years). Evidence can be submitted to Australian Sailing via the Club Judge Accreditation Form.

Course Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites to attend this seminar.
Who should do this course?
People who have a keen interest in Sailing and want to participate in another facet of the sport. Those who may be interested in becoming a Race Officer include parents who may have limited experience with sailing and want to contribute to the sport, volunteers at yacht clubs and sailors who no longer actively participate in the sport.
Course Outcome
Participants will become accredited as a Club Judge; a person capable of forming a correct protest procedure and leading a club level protest hearing (also displaying knowledge of the Racing Rules of Sailing - Part 2).
